BREAKING: Hedy Goldsmith leaving The Genuine Hospitality Group, relocating to LA.

When speaking about can't miss desserts, no other name in the region elicits a more passionate response than that of Hedy Goldsmith, a 2012 & 2013 James Beard Award finalist for the nationally-contested Outstanding Pastry Chef category.

Most recently, her creations graced the menus of The Genuine Hospitality Group of restaurants including: flagship Michael's Genuine® Food & Drink in Miami; Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink in Grand Cayman; Harry's Pizzeria; Restaurant Michael Schwartz in South Beach’s iconic Raleigh Hotel; The Cypress Room; a pop-up cafe at Design Miami, the annual December fair on Miami Beach; and, Michael's Genuine® Pub, the first American gastropub on the seas aboard Royal Caribbean’s Quantum Class Ships.

Goldsmith's first cookbook, Baking Out Loud: Fun Desserts with Big Flavors (Clarkson Potter), released October 2012, is a collection of 80 of her most whimsical recipes with her signature in-your-face flavors. Included Baking Out Loud is the recipe for her infamous Junk-in-da-Trunk® cookies. 

The media's hunger for her and her desserts is insatiable with coverage on TODAY Show and Food Network, The New York Times, PEOPLE Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Wine Spectator, Food & Wine magazine and more. She even defeated Bobby Flay on Food Network's Iron Chef as part of the first all female competitors. 

Goldsmith is in her 5th season on Cooking Channel's Unique Sweets, creates seasonal recipes for cookingchannel.com and blogs about all things sweet on foodnetwork.com. Goldsmith lends her time and support to a number of causes dear to heart like Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer. Goldsmith holds a B.A. in Photography and Film from the Philadelphia College of Art and graduated with honors from the CulinaryInstitute of America in New York.

She recently relocated Los Angeles with her wife and their two shih tzu's, Sweetpea & Cooper.
